Another DJ has fallen victim to the bottle service crowd. Bringing his electro heavy sound to Seoul, Korea, Fake Blood began his set, only to be kicked off shortly after for not playing to the tune of the club’s bottle service patrons. Stories like this aren’t uncommon these days. Earlier this year, the legendary DJ Shadow was booted from the decks at Miami nightspot Mansion for a sound that was “too future” (whatever that means).

Similarly, Dennis Ferrer met the same fate at Mansion a year prior for not playing “commercial enough.”

It’s always disheartening to hear that a remarkable producer has been booed off stage by a crowd unknowledgeable to their craft. Maybe next year the Justin Bieber’s and VIP bottle service buyers of the world will appreciate the tunes of a great DJ. We’re holding our breath.
