#elektroAwards Best Live DJ set: Big Grizmatik @ Electric Forest

As one of the freshest collaborations electronic music has seen in recent history, Grizmatik, the collaboration of DJ/producers Griz and Gramatik, made a lot of noise when they joined forces on the release of their first single, “Digital Freedom Is Mad Liberation,” in November 2012.

Little did we know, Grizmatik would soon team up with Big Gigantic to create one of the greatest DJ supergroups in electronic dance music history. The electro-funk trail blazers Griz, Gramatik and Big Gigantic took to the main stage at the Electric Forest Festival in Rothbury, Michigan, last June for the first time ever to deliver a one-of-a-kind live performance, thus giving birth to Big Grizmatik.

This performance was revolutionary in that it was the first time these artists were collectively onstage for a headlining time slot. It was a real treat for fans to see their favorite artists join forces and deliver groundbreaking material. Festivalgoers packed into the forest just to get a chance to witness this momentous occasion.

The reception the crew received for its performance was incredible and left us hoping that this wasn’t the last time we would see Big Grizmatik in all its glory.
