Maya Jane Coles “Everything” Blond:ish Remix

Fresh off of being released alongside the rest of deep house queen Mary Jane Coles’ debut album, Comfort, “Everything” has gotten a fantastic and slightly spooky rework by Montreal favorites Blond:sh. The London-based duo took the album’s second track to the Twilight Zone, hollowing out Karin Park’s mousey vocals to create a more ambient and enveloping mood. The remix’s smooth bassline and quirky pianos create take the original’s dark roots to create a slow-paced delicacy. Clocking in at 7 minutes and 16 seconds, the Blond:ish rework goes beyond doing Maya justice, creating a haunting mood perfect for a small lounge tucked away in London hungry for dark and deep beats.
