At last Hollywood has produced something other than a comic book film that has the critics raving. Looper, the Rian Johnson film came in at number 2 behind animated film Hotel Transylvania, grossing over 21 million dollars this past weekend. It has been a while that a big Hollywood production had critics excited, Looper received an outstanding approval rating from publications such as Rolling Stone, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today. The film Stars Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a time travel action thriller that takes you to future in the future, best of all the film embodies the music of that world with explosive electronic and dubstep sounds. Dubstep continues to show up in films and TV commercials, this must be what the TV and film industry thinks young people enjoy; they are spot on! Here is the track from the Trailer “Crushing Blow” by Jack Trammell, who is an all star in film and video game music. Could tracks like this bring him to the EDM spotlight? We’ll soon find out but for now check out Looper in theaters and “Crushing Blow” by Jack Trammell.
