iHome Presents IDentity Festival Boston Review

There's no doubt about it, Boston came to party at yesterday's Identity stop. In addition to the already star-studded lineup, JDevil, Nosia and Wolfgang Gartner joined the crew. The crowd was a sea of neon as both the Rocktar and iHome stages were packed very early on. Fans came before the doors opened and tailgated in Comcast Arena's parking lot for hours, waiting to be let into the park. Boston's Together Festival (a continuous local music event) hosted its own stage with local DJs who brought their own massive fan bases, adding to the already booming vibe. Local artists showcased their work alongside festival sponsors such as iHome, Bed Head and Lets Rage.

Heading up the Rockstar Stage was Stephan Jacobs, JDevil with his signature metal vocals, The Eye, dubstep legends Nosia, Showtek and headliner Excision. Over on the iHome stage, Audrey Napoleon brought the heat early on, with DVBBS to follow. Le Castle Vania followed suit, even dropping some new tracks to the delight of the crowd. Eva Simons, performing with DJ Jam3s K3nn3dy on the decks, dropped a killer drum and bass re-work of "Take Over Control," followed by Arty with his signature progressive house set. French phenomenon Madeon took the stage afterwards, beginning with his party-starting "The Night Out" remix.

At the end of the evening, the Rockstar Stage was closed to direct full attention to Eric Prydz's set. The superstar did not disappoint, and even surprised the crowd with an epic remix of Deadmau5's "The Veldt," bringing his signature groove to one of the summer's biggest hits. At the end of the night, fans were left in a daze, chanting for one more song and reluctant to leave.
