Hucci “Next One”

The beat is infectious and the sound is cool to the max in this banging track by Brighton-born DJ and producer Hucci. It’s the chopped up vocals, cleanliness, and kicking beat which truly take this original, entitled “Next One,” above and beyond the other stuff trap artists are putting out there. If you listen to anything else by this sixteen-year-old rising star, you’ll notice that same clarity and high-quality production. This is an artist who lets his music speak for itself. This is music without noise—unadulterated and unpolluted but absolutely kickin’. Our favorites by him include “Hatch,” “Lambo,” and his hauntingly mellow remix of the Xx’s “Angels,” but everything this young man puts has finesse we haven’t heard much of lately in trap music. This kid is definitely one to watch.
