Amon Tobin has proven to be one of the most visionary electronic music artists in the EDM industry. Tobin’s 2011 album, ISAM, in which the artist transformed real-life sounds and noises into intricate tracks, is just one example of his revolutionary approach to music production.

The ISAM album concept demanded a fresh approach to live electronic performance, so Tobin conceptualized an entirely new kind of immersive musical performance, ISAM Live and ISAM Live 2.0. For the performances, a giant cubic structure was built to house the DJ booth where Tobin performed, and it also served as a 3-D canvas that visually narrated the music.
The show was made possible due to the collaboration between Amon Tobin, V Squared Labs/Vello Virkhaus, Vita Motus, Alex Lazarus, Leviathan, and Ninja Tune. For the visual elements Amon Tobin, as lead creative director, collaborated with Vello Virkhaus to create the visual masterpiece.

Although this year saw the final run of the amazing A/V journey, the ISAM Live concept has transformed the expectations of electronic music shows and has paved the way for new live electronic dance music experiences in the future.
