Trippy visuals and Atari are the two things that make up Voltron’s video for a song from his Sophomore EP called “Play It”. The persistent bass and minimalistic synthesizers begin while the video sucks you into the computerized world of Voltron, where peace signs and flashing pictures of Michelango’s David are the norm. Things only get weirder in this 8-bit fever dream, as disembodied head continues to the steady vibrations of the song. The strobes blare on, while floating words consisting of the lyrics, “When I play it”appear on screen. The odd aesthetics and rumbling beat make for quite an experience.
