Whether or not you know the name Sujit Kundu, the chances are high that he’s influenced one of your recent club nights... in a good way.

This is because Kundu is the founder and owner of Sujit Kundu Artist Management, or S.K.A.M. On any given night, S.K.A.M. DJs are rocking clubs in global party destinations like London, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York. They’re also playing more under the radar cities like Austin, San Diego and Milwaukee. Really, S.K.A.M. artists are playing everywhere.

A party and club promoter since the age of 16, Kundu founded S.K.A.M. ten years ago, and in the past decade, has developed the company into one of the premier open-format DJ booking agencies in the United States. “We’re the best, no question,” Kundu says. “We respond to every offer in a timely fashion, and our attention to detail for both our artists and our clients who buy talent is second to none.”

This professionalism paired with Kundu’s knack for recognizing the next big sound means that S,K,A,M,’s growing electro division is stacked with hot artists including Chris Garcia, Tony Arzadon and Nathan Scott, who Kundu says are “are the best residents in the business and each one track away from becoming superstars.” And speaking of, recent signees Manufactured Superstars and Rony Seikely mark S.K.A.M.’s expansion into house music, a move Kundu calls “extremely exciting.”

Also extremely exciting is S.K.A.M.’s partnership with Playhouse. The company’s weekly club night at this Los Angeles hotspot showcases Kundu’s talent roster to huge and often star studded crowds. Expect no less this Friday night, when Nathan Scott and Chris Garcia take over the decks at Playhouse for a blowout birthday celebration that will usher in the weekend, S.K.A.M. style, which of course means inventive, danceable, and Kundu assures, “a lot of fun!”
