It’s been a hell of a homecoming year for Felix da Housecat. After announcing his return to dance music with the release of his bombastic “Sinner Winner” EP at this year’s Music Week, Felix has been banging on monster originals and remixes that have fired up peak sets around the globe (i.e. dance floors go nuts for “Frankie Meets Pauline” and his rework of Ali Love’s “Another." The 2013 season on the White Isle saw the house don turn things up with his Clandestin residency at Space, which inspired tons of new music and even an accompanying weekly radio show to send out to vibes to those unable to make it to Ibiza.
For those who were sad to see Felix’s summer broadcasts go, you’ll be glad to know he’ll be coming to you live once again with “Chicago Blakkout." Forever the self-appointed ambassador for all things related to the Windy City, the producer’s newest endeavor promises to keep us on our toes with fresh new music every Friday via iTunes, some of which might even be included in his new album. That’s right, along with his new show, Felix da Housecat has announced a new LP in the works (his 13th to be exact). With names like Nile Rodgers already on the roster, you’ll want to keep an even closer ear to “Chicago Balkkout” in the hopes of preview snippets!
