Lorde – “Team” (Autograf Remix)

Amidst the dozens of Lorde remixes appearing across the web, it takes a lot for one to stand out - and Autograf's version of "Team" definitely does. One of the only, if the only tropical house remix, Autograf's rework touches the original in all the right places while breathing new life into it. Not only is the remix refreshing, but as a genre piece, Autograf's take on the often stale tropical house genre is delightful. The song has an almost bittersweet sound, something difficult to do with tropical house, whose steel drums and melodies are almost always overly bright and cheery. This softer, nearly darker side of the genre is wonderful, showing its full spectrum and possibilities.
