You might remember the name Mark Johns from when Skrillex selected her track "In Paris" (a reworking of the Jay-Z and Kanye West single "Paris" that injects her own personal sound and style) as one of the selections on the February 2 "Skrillex Selects" playlist. This track, which was produced by Sable, accompanied an additional two tracks produced by the up and coming Washington-based producer, "Surf" and "Thunder Wave." Today, Skrillex shared Mark Johns' newest creation and voiced his approval of the young vocalist once again on Twitter, all while wishing her a happy 21st birthday.

Now, she's returned with a free download to celebrate her birthday. Teaming up with producer Alexander Lewis and Brooklyn-based electro-funk duo Brasstracks, the resulting track is "5 South," a futuristic, pop-friendly that supplies a Disclosure-like sound with a touch of funk. It's unfamiliar territory for dance music, and you can't argue with the result. Listen to the track above, and watch for more to come from the Moving Castle-affiliated Mark Johns soon.
