As YouTube user Christian Jackson opens his video with, it's the "cool" thing to do every festival season to try and expose a DJ for not having their equipment plugged in or playing a pre-recorded set at an event. The latest of these rumors comes at the expense of Krewella, after Deadmau5 tried to call out the group for not having their mixer and CDJs plugged in. Deadmau5 tweeted “You wanna plug your s— in?” and that he ”figured they might hide their backline a bit better.” Krewella responded by tweeting back a picture of their equipment connected via USBs.

However, this was still not enough to convince fans that they were in fact plugged in during their new live performance, which also included a live drummer and guitarist. Now, Christian Jackson has uploaded a video that proves why their performance was authentic, showing off his own USB connected setup in his own home studio, which he says is the most streamlined way to get music from your computer to the speakers without the hassle and mess of extra cables. Despite not being a Krewella fan (he actually calls them "reprehensible"... harsh), he has come to their side to put this rumor to rest once and for all. Watch the video above as he breaks Krewella's setup.
