It was 2:30 am in NYC and three of EDM’s wettest DJ’s were “Killin it”. Krewella (Yasmine, Jahan, and Rain Man) was the doctor of music and their beats kept their audience focused like a dose of audio Adderall. Keeping music junkies awake all night in NYC is something many artist have done, but this time they prescribing beats from the E3 Video Game convention via live stream.

Krewella fans from all over the world heard the social media rally for the free live stream show and packed the virtual house. Fans are no strangers to the fact that Krewella tries to keep in touch with them. Viewers were encouraged to tweet request during the whole performance, and there was no lack of interaction with their actual crowd in LA either.

Fans didn’t get to see any oversized LED mouse heads, or robot suits but rather just sleeveless sweaty Yasmine and Jahan with Rain Man delivering years of refined emotion. There was no need for gimmicks, just a dynamic playlist of tracks spanning several EDM genres. The audience got a taste of several tracks from Krewella’s upcoming album, as well as several remixes of the ones that launched them into the EDM limelight. Without a doubt these new songs played will sit next to tracks like “Alive” and dominate the charts in the near future.

Tracks bounced from the faster hardstlye beats right into hip-hop infused Trap mixes and then full circle into more Krewella friendly dubstep. Krewella’s command of electronic music couldn’t have been a match of the Electronic Entertainment Expo. In keeping with the E3 spirit several Mortal Kombat themed dancers jumped around as the Krew dropped more beats per minute than most humming birds.

Krewella might possibly have become the first DJ’s in the last year to not try and provide any “clarity” for their audience or bring them to another “level." The Krew has come a long way in the past year. No more are they stuck playing side tents with just enough time to fire off their EP, but rather Krewella’s dose of audio Adderall is going to keep music listeners focused in for much longer than anyone might have anticipated.

The live stream concert which was put on by Machinima, was just another example of Krewella staying ahead of the growing DJ crowd. Like finding a prize at the bottom of your favorite childhood cereal, DJ Carnage made a brief appearance and brought some of his unique festival trap sounds to stage. What will likely be the fuel for many anti-Machinima tweets, Krewella was cut off and told asked to move the party. The Krew has dealt with being cut off before, but in the words of Yasmine “what the fuck?”
