Just in time for the holidays, Chicago trio, Krewella, are back with their new release, the "Play Harder" Remix EP. The 9-song release features a selection of remixes of their two most popular tracks, "Alive" and "Killin' It," including reworkings by the East Coast’s Cash Cash and Kalkutta, Danish and Swedish duo Pegboard Nerds, France’s Dirtyphonics and the Netherland’s Chuckie just to name a few. Also featured on this massive release is a brand new original track, "Come & Get It," which showcases the trio's signature sound. Powerful vocals with catchy hooks blend with their fast-paced, aggressive drum & bass beat and scratches to make a blood-rushing production, guaranteed to move dance floors. Following this epic opening to the release is Cash Cash & Kalkutta's remix of "Alive," which they turn into an electro-house production, complete with a rolling drop with powerful synth.

"Alive" also gets a shot of dubstep adrenaline from Pegboard Nerds with this brand new remix. This blood-rushing remix has everything great dubstep productions are made of, with its melodic, uplifting choruses, epic synthy builds, and brutal, crowd-moving drops. Its clean production provides its tight, rapid-fire dubstep breakdown. Stephen Swartz takes liberties with "Alive" by transforming the track into slowed, electronic track that combines elements of dubstep and electro to create something entirely unique. The release's last reworking of "Alive" is done by Jakob Liedholm, who brings melodic synth into the mix, creating a beautiful build and powerful drop that can move stadiums of EDM fans. The following track marks the first of the "Killin' It" remixes, which is done by Mutrix, who supplies a Skrillex meets moombahton-sounding drop with doses of dubstep and electro that give the track an entirely original sound. Killagrahm's remix of "Killin' It" gives the track a progressive-electro sound, bringing in overwhelming synth and rock-infused breakdowns to create a remix of the Krewella track that packs a punch.

Dirtyphonics takes the release's energy level to new heights with their reworking of the track, which brings a drum & bass styling to the song with its sped up breakdowns, while also throwing in a few brutal dubstep drops that are sure to get crowds hyped. The release comes to close with the flag-bearer of the Dirty Dutch, with DJ Chuckie's remix of "Killin' It." Chuckie's unmistakable sound comes to the forefront, bringing a bass-heavy melody and synth-driven build, leading to the track's dancey, truly Dirty Dutch, drop that supplies the energy EDM fans crave. Krewella has been on an amazing roll in the EDM world. From their live performances at some of the biggest festivals in the world to their unexpected play on NBC's The Today Show thanks to Carmen Electra, they are rapidly rising through the ranks of electronic music. Now, this fantastic remix package will most likely boost their name to new levels. The "Play Harder" EP is now available, check out the release below.
