English producer and vocalist Fox Stevenson just released his new song "Sweets" (Soda Pop), and the name couldn't be more fitting. The song starts out simple and sweet, but slowly gains momentum with building glitchy synths. The song releases into a bright, cheery melody reminiscent of childhood video-games. The track is pop-y and impossibly fun. Unlike pretty much anything else being released right now, the song is refreshing and light, understanding how a powerful, yet simple melody can be extremely effective. Closing out with the full line that had been cut and sampled during the builds, "What's a buddy got to do to get a drink of sodapop around here" highlights the innocence and playfulness of the track.
