Eric Prydz showcases his legacy on new 3-CD set

Anyone who’d like to delve into the greatest moments from one of the most influential producers to ever breathe life into a club track will have their wish granted when Eric Prydz presents Pryda drops on May 22nd. Acknowledged by Beatport as one of their biggest selling artists ever, Prydz was once upon a time an unofficial member of the Swedish House Mafia, though he eventually followed his own path to produce music surpassing even what that terrific trio is capable of.

‘Pryda’ is the pseudonym he’s used for his bigger, more powerful club tracks over the past eight years, and this release has been a long time coming for fans. The first disc is made up entirely of rare and unreleased tracks, which often see him stepping outside his typical tightly-honed club bangers for a delicious assortment of deep trancey melodies, a few darker adventures, plus plenty of vocals. These are simply some of the most devastatingly powerful dancefloor beasts to have ever been unleashed upon the world.

Prydz’s enigmatic profile was at its peak around six years ago, when records like Aftermath, Frankfurt and Pjanoo were known for whipping previously sedate crowds into states of screaming, frothing hysteria, and played by everyone from Tiësto, Carl Cox, Sasha and beyond. The Pryda legend lives on though, and you’re sure to hear some of his more recent anthems like 2nite and Mirage if you catch him on tour with Identity Festival later this year.
