drum roll please.. the Essential Mix of the Year goes to Eric Prydz

BBC 1 Essential Mixes are one of the few places listeners can get grasp of the true sound progression of an artist. Released each month, these mixes have become the pinnacle of DJ mixes. With only the most highly acclaimed talent asked to compile a mix, Essential mixes stand alone in composition. This year saw Essential mixes from Duck Sauce, Skrillex, Steve Angello, Dirty South, Mat Zo, and many more. The one Essential mix that would come to stand out amoungst them all is Eric Prydz’s mix from February 2013. This mix was probably the most buzzed about Essential mix of the year, and for good reason.
