For over a decade, the DJ Awards have celebrated electronic DJs and producers across the globe for outstanding talent and skill in the music industry. This year marked the 15th anniversary of the event and recognized names both long-standing and up and coming for their contributions to the electronic music scene. Held in Pacha, Ibiza, the ceremony included a new award category, Live Electronic Performance (awarded to Faithless Sound System). Maceo Plex struck out in the Deep House category,
Seth Troxler in Tech House, and legendary Tiesto, long-known for his pioneering in the trance world, took home electro house - another testament to the versatility of some of these talented artists. Unsurprisingly, Dutch legend Armin Van Buuren received the award for Trance and International, while Carl Cox one again won over the Techno category. The Kryptonite awards in the Dubstep/Bass and Newcomer categories went to Chase & Status and Arty, who wowed the world over at last years WMC. Pirupa's "Party Non-Stop" won Track of the Season, already having won over dance floors in clubs around the world.

Producer of the Year went to Solomon, and the Ibiza DJ award was given to Andy Baxter, who holds residencies at some of the most lucrative clubs on the White Isle. Best International Festival went to Belgium's Tomorrowland, Media went to Pacha Magazine for the 10th year in a row, and Australia was dubbed Dance Nation of the Year.

Of course, there was an after party. Celebrated with Rennaissance on their 20h anniversary, post-award festivities were hosted by Huxley, Solomon, Jonathon Cowan, and a closing set by Andy Baxter.
