The DIRTYBIRD crew haven’t even had time to take their counsellor uniforms to the dry cleaners post-Campout, but already they’re dishing out more bulletproof slabs of future-flexed acid house.

Will Clarke mans the controls: Making his DIRTYBIRD debut in January with “Badness” on DIRTYBIRD 10, and followed up with the ‘Boogie Woogie’ EP and lazer-snapping “808 Frenzy” on the ‘DIRTYBIRD BBQ- Grill$on’s Revenge’ collection, the bristly Bristol-based spandex enthusiast has enjoyed a beautiful summer with releases on Defected, Emerald City and Turbo and unforgettable shows across the US, Australia and Europe.

Returning to the label with the bulbous two-track EP ‘Turn It Up’, Clarke does just that: Writhing in carnal groove simplicity, he taps into the roots of timeless, low-down, butt-wriggling house music with three obscene examples of strong-armed tech funk. ‘Can You Funk’ punches with Breach-level hookiness, and ‘Turn It Up’ does the loopy-loop with DIRTYBIRD’s trademark vocal trippiness.
