television program today. However, famed producer Will.I.Am has given the theme an updated sound with his revamping of the classic tune. Will.I.Am's remix takes the beats per minute from 150 to 130, molding the song to current pop culture, which he states is "where dance and stability is right now". Will.I.Am's modernized version of the E.T. theme song preserves the classic riff, while giving it a modern flare and allowing Will.I.Am to make his mark on the song.
