In early August of last year, W Hotels Worldwide collaborated with burn studios to unveil their newest project in response to the rising electro dance music movement. DJ Lab, an approach to support rising music talent, was designed to bring in some of the newest DJ acts from around the globe and provide them with tools, information, and mentorship to enhance their skills and help them realize their full potential.

The selected DJs will participate in a weeklong training program, which will commence at the W Hotel Barcelona and conclude at burn studios Hacienda in Ibiza, Spain. The DJ ‘boot camp’ will help prepare the young talent for a global tour hosted by W Hotels in various locations around the world. Involved mentors will include Arthur Baker, Jason Bentley and Michaelangelo L’Acqua, W Hotels Global Music Director.

“W Hotels is getting ahead of the curve by selecting and mentoring these rising DJs,” said Michaelangelo. “We are thrilled to be giving these cutting-edge artists a platform to perfect their craft a the burn studios Hacienda and later expose them to what is sure to be their future fan base through our upcoming DJ Labe Global Tour at the most iconic W destinations around the world.”

The DJ Lab Global Tour will commence as soon as the DJs complete their sessions and workshops at the burn studios Hacienda.
