VELD Music Festival 2013 Trailer & Preview
Over 20,000 people are expected at this years installment of Veld music Festival, hosted by Ink entertainment, held in Downsview Park. Only in its second year, the festival boasts headliners such as Kaskade, Above & Beyond and Toronto native Deadmau5. Spread through the mainstage and Bacardi tents, day one sets the stage with bass-heavy dub acts like Seven Lions, 12th Planet, and recent Beatport chart-toppers Krewella. Electro and Progressive house fans fear not, as Steve Aoki, Kaskade and trance gods Above & Beyond are responsible for closing out the main stage on day one, while Sub Focus and Pretty Lights wrap up the Bacardi Tent.
If the day one lineup wasn’t enough to satisfy your dance craves then day two be prepared to overdose in house heaven. On the mainstage Canadian duo Adventure Club are sure to bring out their classic bangers while throwing in some new music also, due to the fact that an album is rumored to be in the works and several new songs have been dropped during live performances. Fan favorite Thomas Gold follows up and is sure to have the crowd bumping with his own brand of progressive house. The Bacardi Tent hosts legends John Digweed, Victor Calderone and Tech-House master Danny Tenaglia. Not to be done by the champagne showers of Steve Aoki on day one fellow champagne enthusiasts Dada Life grace the stage and I’m particularly eager to see them fresh off of their killer EDC Vegas set. Fellow Swede Steve Angello joins the party and is sure to not disappoint. French wunderkind Madeon makes an appearance sometime during the night, and I’m most eager for this set because no matter how many times ive tried to see him he’s just always seemed to elude me. Having only heard great things about him I highly recommend seeing his set. Madeon's label head, deadmau5, closes out the night in his hometown of Toronto, and having been on a streak of releasing new productions following his break up with Ultra Records, we're anxious to see what he is going to bring out during his set. All in all, the second iteration of Veld is looking to be an event that can not be missed.
