Trouble and Bass Are Calling It Quits After 8 Years
If you're in the New York dance scene, you know the label and party promoters Trouble & Bass. Their influence, however, extends outside of the NYC area. Since starting T&B in 2007, they have released numerous compilations that showcase the group's unique combination of sounds, and have brought their wild New York-bred dance events to venues worldwide. Comprised of Drop The Lime, Star Eyes, AC Slater and a variety of newer affiliates from around the world, they've heavily influenced the spread of warehouse-friendly bass music that is currently surging in the dance scene.
Sadly, the crew are calling it quits after eight and a half years. Drop The Lime says, "It's been such a fantastic run with friends I will forever consider family. We may have all taken new paths as individuals, but the endless love I will have for the fans and artists will be timeless and continue to inspire me."
On March 31, they will release their final compilation, All Time Trouble & Bass, a 25-track release that takes listeners from the group's earliest days to the present. You can pre-order the release on iTunes. In proper Trouble & Bass fashion, they will also be throwing one final party at Brooklyn's Verboten on April 18.
