Symbiosis Gathering 2013, Oakdale, CA, September 19th-23rd

The summer festival season is coming to a close but don't fret, festival season is year round and one of the biggest festivals this fall is the Symbiosis Gathering in Oakdale, CA (less than 2 hours from San Francisco). This year will be the 6th annual event featuring 4 main stages and over 200 musical acts. The music will be booming but there is much more to enjoy at Symbiosis other than the music, from the countless art installations to the many eccentric people you will meet along the way. Headlining this years festival are electronica jam band STS9 and Simon Posford performing a Shpongle DJ set that you will not want to miss. Set to perform sets this year are Mount Kimbie, Gesaffelstein, Lunice, Emancipator, RL Grime, Lapalux, Hudson Mohawke, Brodinski, Michal Menert, Ana Sia, Polica, Moombahton Massive, and Cashmere Cat among other talented performers, there are too many headliners to name. As a 5 day festival, Symbiosis is shaping up to be a memorable experience for all that attend with special workshops with slam poet Saul Williams as well as theatrical entertainment by the Edwardian Ball Roadshow on its maiden voyage away from San Francisco which will be like nothing you have ever seen before.
