New York City based duo, Modern Machines, are sure to be the soundtrack to your life this weekend thanks to their first installment of their mix series “Welcome to the Machine." Having spent the last five years cutting their teeth in the sounds of New York's eclectic music scene, Modern Machine (Dimitry Mak and Kapla) began producing tracks together in 2011, which later led on to remixes for artists such as The Knocks, Creep, Kaiser Chiefs, and The Mynabirds. Set on taking their stake in today’s global dance scene, the two are currently writing and producing, with plans to release original singles in mid - late 2012 and an upcoming EP in 2013. Until then, you can get a feel for the pair’s musical preferences and smooth mixing abilities with Volume 1 of “Welcome to the Machine." Featuring fantastically transitioned songs like Joseph Moore bootleg “Iron Wakanda” and Modern Machine’s own bootleg of Armin van Buuren and W&W’s “D# Fat," the hour-long mix will surely get your weekend going before you know it!
