Modern Machines are no strangers to bringing remixes that showcase their impressive production abilities, while supplying the energetic electro/progressive house sound that is fit for the main stages of EDM’s biggest festivals. In just the past few months, the NYC-based duo have transformed tracks like Jack U‘s “Take U There” and Rae Sremmurd‘s ”No Type” into club-friendly weapons that saw support from the likes of TiestoHenry Fong and Chuckie. They were also recently sought out by David Guetta‘s camp for an official remix of his single “Hey Mama.” What’s more is they teamed up with fellow NYC-based dance music producers Tommie Sunshine and CID for the widely supported 2014 remix of the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s single “Maps.” Kaskade, Tiesto, KrewellaAdventure ClubFatboy SlimSteve AokiFedde Le GrandFerry CorstenW&W and Tommy Trash are just a few of the heavyweights on the remix’s massive list of supporters.

Now, they have returned to put their personal touch on the current hit single from Major Lazer and DJ Snake‘s collaboration, “Lean On,” which has become one of the most popular tracks in the dance music world. Typically Modern Machines bring a thumping electro-house approach to their remixes. However, they go a different route for this one. They apply their heavy electro style to a trap rhythm, resulting in a sure-fire festival anthem. They also exhibit some instrumentation with the remix, including their use of real electric guitars in its creation. This track is also available for free download, so make sure to grab it on the group's Souncloud!
