Lightning in a Bottle Announces 2012 Lineup
The lineup for Southern California’s Lightning in a Bottle festival was announced this morning, and the always dub-friendly event has gone big bass again this year with headliners Bassnectar, the Glitch Mob, Tipper, Eoto, Big Gigantic and the LA-based post-apocalyptic vaudeville troupe Lucent Dossier.
The seventh incarnation of this annual festival will happen on Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-28 in Silverado, CA, about an hour southeast of Los Angeles. A favorite among the Burner crowd, Lightning in a Bottle includes workshops, lectures, yoga and art in addition to the music. The festival is organized by LA-based production company/artist collective The DoLaB.
LiB 2012 will be a reunion of sorts for the headliners, as both Bassnectar and the Glitch Mob played LiB in 2007 before their mutual ascension to mass popularity. The lineup also includes Gramatik, Bluetech, Nit Grit, R/D, Minnesota, Nick Warren, Random Rab, the downtempo psychedelic experience Shpongle and more.
