Elektro’s Top 5 Rowdytown V Moments
Written By: Tori Inez
It comes as no surprise that the fifth installment of Big Gigantic’s Rowdytown sold-out both nights; held September 23-24 at Colorado’s finest, Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Saxophonist Dominic Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salken threw down sexy beats for their headline performances, but it wasn’t just tunes that set this show apart from others—it was their fans, the immensely alluring setting, and all of the special guest performances that made both nights truly special.
If you’ve never been to Red Rocks, here’s the abridged version: Massive naturally formed rock structure turned outdoor venue with no traditional seating, just levels of rock for viewing, and no matter where you’re located in the crowd you can see and hear everything perfectly. If I were to imagine a place fit for the Gods to watch a duel performance by some of the most iconic musicians to date, this would be the place 100%. I swear, I’m pretty sure I shed a tear just being at the amphitheatre itself, music aside—it’s that amazing. Now take the glory that is Red Rocks and combine it with costumed fans, customized flags, cats shooting lazers as visuals and an impeccable lineup—wa-lah, that’s Rowdytown.
If you were one of the lucky ones to experience both nights, you would’ve seen stellar productions by DJs: Kill The Noise, Vanic, and Louis The Child (night one), and then Kasbo, Illeum, and Marshmello (night two), in addition to our front men Big G. You would’ve also seen guest appearances by Pell, Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman, who notably appear on Big G’s recent album Brighter Future. As if this showcase couldn’t get any better, Paper Diamond and GRiZ also showed up to the party (*claps hands wildly*). So without sounding super cheesy and in the simplest terms—the lineup was LIT.
Now, here are Elektro's Top 5 Rowdytown V Moments:
