Spread across three days (May 23rd-25th), the fifth Ibiza International Music Summit took place last week. IMS is a truly incredible event that was founded in 2008, and is coordinated by some of the most experienced names in the business, like Pete Tong, Ben Turner, Danny Whittle, Mark Netto, and Simeon Friend. The conference focuses on the business side of EDM. This year included the strongest line up of panels and guest speakers since its founding. The conference featured iconic producer, Nile Rodgers, an exclusive interview with Giorgio Moroder, a keynote interview with Luciano, Loco Dice one on one with Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold on Hollywood, Francois Kevorkian with the longest panel in electronic music, Diplo on branding, Patrick Moxey (Ultra Records), Sister Bliss, and “Ibiza the year of change” with the music directors of Ushuaia, Space, Pacha and Amnesia. Did you get all that?

This summer the IMS has had a strong focus on how house music is evolving and the revolution of EDM in America, and as well as an array of live sets and intriguing conferences, captivating the spirit of Ibiza.

IMS partner Ben Turner states: “It was a truly incredible few days. Our theme this year was Connections Count and we seemed to make a huge connection to EDM fans the world over thanks to the power of Twitter and social media. It was clear for all to see that a high-level of debate and future thinking was taking place among our delegates. If you didn’t see it poolside in person, you read about it via Twitter. At such pivotal times for electronic music, we are all very proud of the positive and progressive conversations taking place at IMS."
