elektro’s take on tracks: Rubix ‘Sophie’ EP

Amsterdam based Rubix has fans groovin’ once again with excerpts from his recently released EP “Sophie,” out now on No Brainer Records. The EP, which includes tracks “Sophie,” “It’s Over,” and “I Love,” stays true to Rubix’s classic styles of deep and tech house, with some nu disco thrown in the mix.

The first track, “Sophie,” features fresh and classy vocals, coupled with a slower, deep sound that make the song’s funkiness stand out. The second track, “It’s Over,” is a little bit faster in pace, with a more soulful sound due to its resounding vocals. The last track of the sample, “I Love,” seems to be more of a blend of the two styles, resulting in the perfect, groovy dance floor track.

Whether you’re lounging in a classy bar or restaurant, dancing the night away in an intimate club, or blasting Rubix through your Ipod player while cleaning the house, we at Elektro think that Rubix’s EP, “Sophie,” will have you shouting “I Love!”
