elektro Magazine Presents: RE:MIX Lab Sessions Los Angeles
To launch the newest incarnation of the RE:MIX LAB event series Hyundai is back with three vehicles representing the ultimate in style, design, performance and innovation. Each car has a unique personality. The Music 2.0 Veloster Turbo demands attention with its mirror-like chrome exterior, DJ station and sound system that can be heard from blocks away. The Re:Mix Genesis Coupe blends performance and luxury with an aggressive stance, a terra cotta leather interior and carbon fiber throughout. And the Eco-Tuner Elantra GT fuses fashion and enthusiast-inspired design with socially connected technology to create an environmentally aware head turner. With custom audio, one-off materials and bespoke components throughout, each Re:Mix vehicle speaks to the passion, creativity and connectedness that unite us all. Three different builds with three different visions culminate in a celebration of cars, culture, design and innovation. Welcome to the Hyundai RE:Mix Lab.
On Saturday, November 10th, the elektro Presents: RE:MIX Lab Sessions will commence with performances by Brenmar, Betatraxx, Whiiite, Switch, Bones and Bixel Boys. Chicago native Brenmar has burst onto the scene with incredible remixes and original productions; he's an emerging talent that is not to be missed. Next up is Betatraxx, who may be based out of L.A., but is signed to Chuckie's Dirty Dutch label and makes crowd-killing techno and tech-house. Switch, formerly Diplo's co-producer on the Major Lazer project, is a legend in his own right; not only has he produced and remixed extensively since 2003, but he also runs the U.K.'s Dubsided Records. Recently added to the is Whiiite. If you haven’t heard of Los Angeles-based DJ and producer Whiiite, it’s probably because he recently emerged on the dance music scene a mere five months ago. In that short span, though, he’s managed to produce several stellar remixes for the likes of Nelly Futado, Tonite Only, and Rusko and Cypress Hill. His re-works are associated with some of dance music’s top labels including Ministry of Sound, Interscope, and V2, and his debut EP is set for release on Vicious Bitch Recordings titled "Begins." There's a reason Trevor Moffitt, aka BONES, has played with many of the top names in electronic music at clubs and venues nationwide. A Gotta Dance Dirty co-owner and head DJ, BONES fuses Electro, House, Deep, Bassline, Fidget and Ghetto-tech; bringing the dirtiest noise of electronic music today into his high energy DJ sets.? Closing out the night will be Los Angeles' emerging Bixel Boys, whose house-meets-chillwave sound has been the talk of the blogosphere since their first mix, "Just A Taste," hit the web.
Our good friends at Gotta Dance Dirty will also be in the house.
