Diplo Is Making an Album with Gucci Mane
It is no secret that Diplo is one of, if not the most sought after producer in the game. Not only has he collaborated with the biggest names in dance music, but he has also produced tracks for pop stars like Sia, Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Usher, Brintey Spears and Madonna. Now, he's linking up with hip-hop Gucci Mane for a new album.
In 2010, Diplo released his collection of remixes, Diplo Presents Free Gucci: Best Of The Cold War Mixtapes. Now, it seems they will be collaborating on a full-length studio release. As you can see in the tweets below, both artists have confirmed the album, while Diplo has stated that the album will not be "EDM."
Instead, fans can expect a hip-hop-centered release. With Gucci Mane's catchy hooks and Diplo's proaction skills, this could be a very impressive release. While Diplo's 2010 mixtape of Gucci remixes was received with some criticism, this release may be subject to the same kind of negativity and/or ridicule. However, we'll have to wait for the official release to hear the result. Stay tuned for release information.
