Congorock and Nom De Strip team up and take us to the big room

Congorock and Nom De Strip’s new banger “Mineral” (Ultra Music) is a perfect example of a collaboration working best when the participants play off each other’s strengths. The result is a massive, big room progressive house monster that is gonna shake dance floors whenever it’s played. Congorock’s mastery of percussion sounds adds cool flourishes to the beat, while Nom De Strip makes sure the synths are punchy and interesting. Give them credit for also avoiding the cliche of using loop rolls to build toward the drop, instead using a subtle, swelling pad patch in the background to build the anticipation. Let’s hope these two team up again soon to produce more great music for us to dance to.
