We caught up with Anna Lunoe before taking off on tour to support her new "All Out" EP with support from Kygo.

Your “All Out” Ep is being released today, what was the most exciting part of working on it?

Actually creating a song that has been brewing in your mind is a super exciting feeling, and it doesn’t always happen. For every song on this EP there are 4 demos that didn’t work out. So actually getting there is special. It’s a moment captured.

It seems these days music is being pushed past the boundaries of genres - with your music included. How would you describe your work to someone who’s never heard it?

I try to make my music approachable but classic and not too fad like. Unexpected sounds and catchy writing. Im not sure if I pull it off, but that is what I aim to do.

When beginning a track, do you begin with the production or the vocal/lyrical side first?

Sometimes a synth stab or bass sound inspires the first line of music, but the vocal always comes next.

Who has been the most inspiring artist to collaborate with?

Probably TEED because I am really inspired by how he makes proper pop songs and also club bangers. Everything he does is so classy and timeless. I want him to be my executive producer one day. Nothing will get released without his approval.

You used to run an underground dance radio station, what was the weirdest song you ever played on there?

I had my own show, not run the whole station! Oh man I played all kinds of stuff, I couldnt even nearly decide on one song. It was a great station, they were incredibly trusting with their hosts and we had a lot of freedom. Its called fbi radio and you guys should listen online!

Who have you been listening to lately?

New Sbtrkt, Banks, Odesza, Caribou, Jim-E-Stack and heaps more.
