Al Walser’s Grammy Nomination: EDM Experts Weigh In

Last week the electronic dance music world and fans were up in arms because of someone by the name of Al Walser being nominated alongside some of the biggest artists in the world. Not only did this take the spotlight off of Skrillex, Avicii, Calvin Harris and Swedish House Mafia but it also took a nomination away from artists that could have been nominated such as Afrojack.

Our executive publisher Zev Norotsky said it best to MTV, "I was confused by Walser's nomination ("I would say it definitely stood out"). They deserve a lot of credit for adapting and embracing us as a genre and including our artists. No need to point fingers, bash them and turn such an overwhelmingly positive step in the right direction into any kind of scandal."
