This past Sunday Afrojack returned to New York! Afrojack, along with Shermanology, Apster, and Leroy Styles performed at Roseland Ballroom. Although “Afroland” was switched from Coney Island’s MCU Park, due to inclement weather, the show was still a smash! DJ Apster opened with a great set that got the crowd going, followed by Leroy Styles, who continued the party with an energy elevating set. Shermanology didn’t disappoint either, with their upbeat set, paired with unbelievable vocals. Leon, Dorothy, and Andy nailed it with hits like “Blessed” and “Living for the City.” Then came the man himself, Afrojack. He absolutely blew the crowd away. It was one of my favorite sets I’ve heard all year! The crowd’s energy was off the charts. And Afrojack was firing up the crowd the entire night; from jumping off the decks to showering the crowd with champagne along with Apster.
But the highlight of the night was when a fan got passed security, jumped, and tackled Afrojack on stage, almost knocking him down. Afrojack couldn’t help but laugh and just express how much he loved his fans! You can tell that Afrojack really cares about his fans and truly loves what he does.
The show was great. One thing is for sure, Leroy Styles, Apster, Shermanology, and of course, Afrojack really know how to entertain a crowd! New York already can’t wait for the next time these guys will be in town again.
