If you haven’t heard of Los Angeles-based DJ and producer Whiiite, it’s probably because he recently emerged on the dance music scene a mere five months ago. In that short span, though, he’s managed to produce several stellar remixes for the likes of Nelly Futado, Tonite Only, and Rusko and Cypress Hill. His re-works are associated with some of dance music’s top labels including Ministry of Sound, Interscope, and V2, and his debut EP is set for release on Vicious Bitch Recordings. There couldn’t be a more fitting label for it, either—entitled Whiiite Begins, the five-track EP features Whiiite’s signature blend of dubstep, drumstep, and heavy electro with a taste of big-room progressive in his masterful synthwork and haunting melodies. Emphasizing instrumentals and powerful metallic drops, Whiiite (also known as Valentino Kahn), showcases his musical mastery across three genres. The EP is now available for purchase on Beatport — go check it out.
