DESERT HEARTS ANNOUNCE THIRTEEN DATE CITY HEARTS TOUR
Fresh off their successful 3 Year Anniversary Festival, Desert Hearts are hitting the road for their second City Hearts tour, entitled ‘Winter Is Coming’. The crew will take their mantra of “House, Techno, & Love” to cities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. These thirteen stops follow this year’s inaugural sold out City Hearts summer tour, and sees them returning to old stomping grounds as well as virgin territory.
At the apex of the tour, The Desert Hearts Crew will make a stop in Tulum, Mexico on New Year’s Eve for Maya Hearts. Decamping to the Yucatan Peninsula, Maya Hearts will literally take place in a remote jungle just outside of beautiful Tulum, whose ancient traditions and bohemian spirit should provide a perfect pairing for Desert Hearts to usher in a new era of higher consciousness, greater peace, and enhanced understanding among the diverse people on the planet. Lining up alongside The Desert Hearts Crew will be special guests Atish, Beduoin, Lum, Matthew Dekay, Nico Stojan, Nu, Oceanvs Orientals (Live), Sabo, and YokoO.
Mikey Lion explains, “The entire point of our Desert Hearts Festivals, our City Hearts Tours, and now our Maya Hearts Gatherings are to spread as much love and positive energy as humanly possible. Through music, art, and self-expression, we aim to elevate a higher collective consciousness to create the best possible vibe on our dance floors."
Founded in the ideals of Burning Man and soundtracked by the tones of the underground, the Desert Hearts movement calls upon marathon style musical programing, a wholly curated environment, and a like-minded community of music and art enthusiasts to create their sought-after vibe. In addition to their renowned Desert Hearts festivals and City Hearts tours, the crew’s record label Desert Hearts Records is taking the world by storm. The burgeoning imprint represents a digital manifestation of the crew’s ethos by offering free downloads of each and every release.

Desert Hearts co-founder and label boss Mikey Lion has also recently teamed up with scene-veteran Sabo on their Into The Jungle EP, the latest release out on Desert Hearts Records. The collaborative EP is comprised of two original tracks, “Into The Jungle” and “Sally”. “Into The Jungle” features deeply swung and groovy melodies paired with tribalistic drums, while “Sally” champions a more four-on-the-floor tech house sound, driven by a complex drum pattern. On remix duties, Lonely Boy provided a progressive take on “Into The Jungle”, where Joyce Muniz flipped “Sally” to add a bit of techno flair on the club-ready track.
In Mikey Lion’s own words: "'Into The Jungle' is the first collaboration EP between Sabo and I. We've both always had a thing for tribalistic drum grooves, but it wasn't until we bonded over a mutual love for skateboarding did we decide to hop in the studio together. We had an amazing time working on it and the outcome was great. We ended up getting two insanely killer remixes from Joyce Muniz and Lonely Boy to round out the package. Dance floor vibes for days on every track."
