As part of a new MSG (Madison Square Garden, NY) Network Series titled, "The Mask with Henrik Lundqvist," the world-famous goaltender for the New York Rangers will be featuring some celebrity friends, who will design unique, one-of-a-kind helmets that Lundqvist will wear during games throughout this season.

Amongst those special guests are actor Michael J. Fox, chef Mario Batali, tennis legend John McEnroe, NASCAR's Jeff Gordon, and superstar DJ/producer Tiesto. People may be wondering, "Why Tiesto?" Well, the truth is he's actually a huge Rangers fan. Since moving NYC, Tiesto has been spotted at Rangers games at MSG, and even been seen hanging with some of the team at local nightlife spots.

During each episode of the 5-part series, Lundqvist will sit down for an interview with each guest and discuss everything from sports to pop culture. You can expect Tiesto to supply Lundqvist with a crash-course on EDM before channeling his creativity to design the helmet. Should be interesting.

What Tiesto will come up with, however, remains to be seen. Perhaps it will feature a mural fellow celebrity Rangers fan, Margot Robbie. Wishful thinking but you never know…

Maybe it would feature a ‘Red Light,’ as a nod to his hit single, while alluding to when players score a goal in hockey… but then again, that wouldn’t be a good omen for the Rangers goaltender. Either way, the mask (along with the other 4 masks) will be donated to the Garden of Dreams Foundation, the non-profit organization that works with The Madison Square Garden Company to positively impact the lives of children facing obstacles, following its use in a game. A great cause that injects a little bit of P.L.U.R. into the hockey world, all while providing viewers with the jam session of epic proportions we see in the photo below. “The Mask with Henrik Lundqvist” will premiere on MSG Network on February 16th, following the New York Rangers game.
