TDK 3 Speaker Boombox

TDK’s 3 Speaker Boombox is another blast-from-past gadget which incorporates modern audio technology. The physical appearance is inspired by the vintage boombox, adding on two 6-inch speakers and a 6-inch subwoofer, FM/AM (if you really want to go retro), USB, and 3.5mm jack. We find the appearance to be unique and sleek, and listeners should expect serious bass and volume with the aforementioned specs. However, there are a handful of drawbacks - it’s only compatible with Apple products, the boombox weighs more than twenty pounds (not exactly portable), and takes the vintage feature a bit too far by requiring 12 ‘D’ batteries - or AC power supply - as a power source.
