After first meeting STWO at the Dark Disco event earlier this year in NYC with Kaytranada, we've kept a close eye on the Paris based producers infectiously sexy beats. Last week, we had the opportunity to catch up with dude, see what he's been up to, and get to know him more personally...

Elektro:  You recently released a banging remix of Lido’s track Lost. How did this track come about and have you guys officially linked up? Any more collabs with Lido in the works?

STWO:  I really like lido’s productions. He hit me up few months ago and told me about his ‘I love you’ EP coming up and asked me if I was down to do a remix for him. I listened to the whole thing and chose ‘Lost’ because I wanted to work with the vocals. It’s really cool that he liked it. Nothing else for the moment but who knows...

Elektro:  Jumping right into another awesome remix of yours.  We have this crazy smooth rendition of  the Weeknd’s ‘Or Nah’ – by chance has anyone from the Weeknd’s camp reach out to acknowledge your work?  What was your initial reaction when you first heard the infectious hook on ‘Or Nah’?

STWO: Thanks! I didn't hear anything back form the Weeknd team so I supposed they haven't heard it yet. In fact, I didn't even hear it first, my manager sent it to me and he was like ‘wow a remix of this would be dope’ and once I heard the hook I already had the idea of the whole remix, I made it and dropped it two days after the original track was released. I love playing it live, it’s one of my favorite remixes I've ever done.

Elektro: The HW&W team seems to be growing strong and showing no signs of stopping – thoughts on the vibe of the whole clique?  Any exciting coming up with other HW&W artists?

STWO:  It’s really cool to see that people are little by little hearing more about HW&W and all the roster. The whole crew is a family, we all get together very well. It’s so cool to work with guys that you consider friends more than actual business partner or whatever. We have a lot of things coming, Kaytranada’s new EP is gonna be out very soon, Ta-ku’s next release too, I’m working on mine at the moment, and collabs between the artists, like Elaquent and myself. Can’t wait for the world to hear all of this!
