Opening up with otherworldly synths, "Surrender," caught our attention at the intro. The original warmed us with its up-beat almost-pop catchiness, but it's the Bassjackers remix of this classic by Spencer and Hill that really got us going. Brawny and bold, the re-work ups all the energy of the original with smooth buildups followed by heart-pounding drops. The haunting quality of Ari's vocals and that hypnotic synth work maintain a fluidity within the framework of the track that set it aside from some of EDM's current bangers. This track is ethereal and delicate, but it packs a major punch when that bass drops. Also check out the Quintino remix.
