It all started when Dustin Musser reached out to Dylan Musser about DJing a party in San Francisco that Dylan was booking for. After realizing they both were using Reason to make their beats, soon after they started putting out music as K Theory in January 2011 and made some big noise on the Beatport Glitch hop charts that year. In addition to being featured on official remixes for Adrian Lux and Gareth Emery, their latest and debatably most hoodrich work to date can be found on Danté’s “Deuce Day” mixtape, which also features productions by Luminox, Minnesota and Araab Muzik. The track “Notorious” sees Danté’s smooth and raspy raps over K Theory’s phat glitchy take on Notorious B.I.G.’s “Notorious Thugs”. Remixing a track this legendary assumes K Theory are on the top of their game, and “Notorious” sees Dustin and Dylan killing it more tastefully than ever.
