Fedde Le Grand is a headliner festival-goers have become quite familiar with. We had the luxury of chatting with Fedde, who let us in onthe story behind his collaboration with the Thivaios Brothers, also known as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, as well as teased some upcoming tracks, and discussing his affinity for James Dean. Check out the interview below.

How long have you and DV+LM been working on "Tales of Tomorrow"?

We’ve been working on it and changing it for over a year now, it’s truly been a labour of love though. The reaction it got after I dropped it at Tomorrowland was incredible and couldn’t believe it when the track was featured in their official aftermovie as well. After that we decided to take it to the next level by adding a vocal over the top, and Julian Perretta’s voice was just perfect for it. We’re so happy to finally release it in 2015, it’s been a long time coming!

Please share the story of this collaboration's birth.

I’ve always been a massive fan of the Thivaios brothers. Ever since their first release back in 2007 I’ve wanted to collaborate, and after sharing the billing at festivals over the next few years we all became pretty good friends. Then at the beginning of 2013 we were just like “lets make a track together and see what happens” and from there ‘Tales of Tomorrow’ was born.

Who were the key people (besides yourself and DV+LM) that helped bring this collaboration to fruition?

It was kind of a combination of our managers, agents, and the suggestions of our amazing fans. So thank you for all helping this materialize into a huge track!

"Tales Of Tomorrow" was also an american TV series that aired on ABC from 1951-1953 starring James Dean. Has classic american cinema inspired your music in any way?

Haha I didn’t know that! Now I feel like we missed a trick by not featuring some of the footage in the ‘Tales of Tomorrow’ video. I also wouldn’t say that classic American cinema has influenced my music but I am a big fan of James Dean, maybe my next track will be called ‘Rebel Without a Cause,’ who knows...

After a phenomenal 2014, What can your fans expect from you in 2015?

So much! My GRAND tour kicks off in February which I’m super pumped for, then in March I’m playing at Ultra Festival Miami! Also I can now revel that there’s a new track on the way featuring the amazing vocals of Niels Geusebroek, so watch this space!
