Coachella has descended upon us and the rumors are true – techno has taken over. Of course there are the headliners like Flying Lotus, Madeon and Porter Robinson to catch, but there are the Heineken and Do Lab sub-stages set for the weekend as well. Each event includes an array of favorites from A-Trak and Dirtybird player Justin Jay to Doc Martin, set to play a straight two hours. While the artists slated for Do Lab and Heineken both weekends can’t be found on the main Coachella lineup, the artists on those stages have become just as anticipated by fans – if not more so.

The dance music love spreads even further out into the surrounding cities of the annual festival, all the way into the colorful streets of Hollywood and Los Angeles. It hasn’t been uncommon to hear that fans will be headed to day parties in Palm Springs instead and ‘Not Coachella’ parties planned for clubs all along the southern Californian coast.

To help you out we came up with a helpful guide to navigate the crazy dance party planned for these next two weekends.

Day Clubs:

Both weekends, the Hilton Palm Springs (400 E Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262) hosts a total of 8 LED Day Club parties. Weekend one includes Chromeo, Deorro, Odesza, and Flosstradamus while weekend two’s headliners are CHVRCHES, Porter Robinson, Skrillex + Friends and DJ Snake. The drive to Palm Springs for fans camping at the festival might be tiresome, but for others the parties will be the perfect refresher before heading out to Indio from the luxury of hotel rooms and desert homes.

Admission: $40 - $135. Buy tickets.

The Hacienda Cantina & Beach Club (1555 S Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Spring, CA) will also host an array of pool parties worth catching before heading to Coachella. Haciendays will headline Thomas Jack, Jamie Jones, Annie Mac, Lee Burridge, Lee Foss, Loco Dice, MK, Duke Dumont, Brodinski and a slew of other poolside entertainment – including giant-sized beer pong.

Admission: $21 - $36. Buy tickets.

Mid-Week Grooves:

At the heart of Hollywood, on Las Palmas and Hollywood Blvd., lays a hidden gem hosting a week of “No Chella” parties. The Monday after weekend one begins with Gorgon City and Black Butter Records, only to be followed by Annie Mac, Redlight, CHVRCHES, Pete Tong, Guy Gerber and Loco Dice for the rest of week. With their giant gleaming disco shark (originally found at Coachella 2014) and their indie-techno flare, the club will be the perfect oasis in between the massive upcoming weekends set for the desert.

In truth though - wherever you may find yourself in the upcoming days, you’re bound to encounter the time of your life. The next two weekends will be heaven for music junkies of all types, there’s no doubt about that.
