The latest chapter in the ongoing Madonna - Smirnoff EDM endorsement extravaganza went down March 23rd... smack in the middle of Miami Music Week! Elektro was on hand at the Delano Hotel, to enjoy the sonic stylings of talented DJs, taste the delish Smirnoff cocktails and of course, test Madge's floral new perfume, MDNA, aptly the same name as her new album.

As the vodka heavyweight hosted the release party of the Material Girl's latest album MDNA. Media-invite only, writers and producers celebrated Madonna's latest album alongside DJs Benny Benassi, Sultan & Ned Shephard, Tracy Young, Martin Solveig and numerous others. The headlining "Smirnoff Masters of the Mix" were Kid Capri and Just Blaze remixing Madonna's newest track with their signature style. The vodka flowed, the crowd was live and the music hot. The best part of the evening though? Elektro's Premiere Issue was in the gift bag. Thanks, Madonna! We love you too!

While all the partying and love were going around, we caught-up with Nicky Romero and Sultan & Ned Shephard for a quick MMW check-in...

NICKY ROMERO

What can you ot live without to survive MMW? I must have flip flops, proper headphones because mine always break or I lose them and definitely a security guard!

Out of all the places you’ve played in the world, where was your favorite? Definitely Puerto Rico. I went there with Tiësto for a gig. The climate, the food and the people are so nice. That will be my secret vacation spot next year but don’t tell anyone!

What are your thoughts on the explosion of EDM? EDM goes up all the time. It’s getting big because pop artists are seriously copying EDM. Somebody took my track as well, but I won’t mention or drop any names. I think it’s a really good thing. You win a lot of people.

Isn’t music’s purpose to bring people together? It’s great to have all genres together. There are no walls or gaps between music and style. Skrillex is a great example who changed music for us. He took rock, pop, and everything in between, and blended it all into one thing. That’s a musical genius! That inspired me to take any genre and take parts of it and put in my own tracks.

SULTAN & NED SHEPARD

How is MMW treating both of you? BRUTAL!!!

Three things you can’t live without for MMW? Water, Redbull and definitely sunglasses.

Are there any DJs you’re excited to see during MMW?

Sultan: Zedd is pretty hot right now and we’re diggin’ the stuff he’s doing right now.

Ned: Nervo, Like Mike, Tommy Trash, Third Party...there’s so many!

What do you think of the EDM explosion in the US? EDM came in a different point throughout history and now its fully here. We think its cool. It’s become the new sort of pop music in a way. But that’s ok because it gets a lot of people interested into what’s happening beneath the surface.

Are you guys working on any new albums that you can tell Elektro? We have a lot of new records coming out. Our most recent will be coming out “Somebody to Love” which is a collaboration with Thomas Sax featuring Steve Smith from Dirty Vegas. We also have a record coming out on Tiesto’s label, Musical Freedom, which is also featured on his Club Life to Miami, called “Walls” in April. We are very excited!
