As the trap takeover continues in the EDM world, we are seeing newer, more progressive forms of trap come to the forefront. A prime example of this is the newest release from Kid Cedek's new EP, that we are exclusively premiering, "Circus Freaks", which you can download for free. Featured on this Rot10 Musik release are ten tracks, jam packed full of Kid Cedek's original productions and remixes by some of the biggest up and coming names in the business. The EP's opener, "Sientelo (featuring Sir Speedy)", is a track that blends trap with dirty dutch, as its siren effects bring a dancey feel to the slowed down beat, and its percussion and finger snaps give it that hip-hop flavor. "Sientelo" gets a remix from AGLORY on the EP, who slows the beat even more and replaces the sirens with a scratchy effect that completely transforms the feel of the song. Kid Cedek's "Amplify" throws a curveball at the listener, bringing his a moombahton beat, until changing the beat midway into a head-spinning trap beat, slowing the beat but speeding up the bleepy electronic effects. Team Jaguar takes on "Amplify" by reworking it into a dutch house track. "Clownin' In The Trap" is a pure trap production. This head-nodding beat comes complete with rapid high-hats, overwhelming percussion, and electronic effects. The EP's title track, "Circus Freaks", brings trap stylings to the ice cream man song. Sounds odd, but after one listen, you'll wish that this was the song that Mister Softee played as he cruises up and down your block, as its twisty chaotic beat brings an electro-house feel to this progressive trap production. This track also sees moombahton remixes from ETC!ETC! and Sazon Booya, an almost Wolfgang Gartner-inspired trap remix from Street Lurkin, and an electro-house remix from Que Serock. Kid Cedek's "Circus Freaks" EP brings several forms of electronic music together, thanks to Cedek's progressive trap sounds and the great featured remixes on the EP. This release truly has something for everyone.
