Yesterday, the dirtybird players came to Williamsburg for the futuristic label's first ever dirtybird BBQ in Brooklyn. Teaming up with Verboten (which recently opened Williamsburg's newest club), the outdoor event that went down right next to Brooklyn Flea saw no shortage of great food and even better beats, courtesy of dirtybird captain Claude VonStroke, Justin and Christian Martin, Kill Frenzy, Justin Jay, and Ardalan.

Upon arrival shortly after the event's 3PM opening, the first attendees were greeted with free sliders, bringing true meaning to "the early (dirty)bird gets the worm."

It wasn't even a full hour into the 7-hour event that things really started to heat up, both literally and figuratively.

While the earliest performing dirtybird players were at work on the decks, Chef Grillson and Chef Chris McLaughlin were hard at work at the grills, cooking up pulled pork cubans and sliders, baby back ribs, dirtybird wings, shrimp skewers, & veggie burgers. Diablo Hot Sauce set up a free tasting station for people to try out their spicy product. Warning to all who encounter this hot sauce: even a hot sauce addict like myself had to take a 10-15 minute break from the action to recover from the burning sensation just a few drops of this satanic liquid caused me. Not to mention, I had to throw out half of a great veggie burger cooked up by the dirtybird crew. You have been warned.

Check out some of the food prepared for BBQ attendees in the gallery below.

Kill Frenzy brought the Detroit sounds to Brooklyn.

He even did some dancing himself.

Head dirtybirds Justin Martin and Claude VonStroke took the party to its climax, keeping the whole place moving before welcoming on the BBQ's special guest, EPMD, to bring the BBQ to it's end.

But did you think the dirtybird team would stop there? Not a chance. The party rolled on at Verboten for the official afterparty.
