Dillon Francis Premieres Collaboration with Calvin Harris
Back in February, Dillon Francis gave fans a sneak peek of the tracks he currently has in the works. On his to-do list are tracks with Galantis and Chromeo, as well as remixes for Kygo and Madeon to name a few. Now, we are finally receiving some of that music — something that fans should certainly be excited about. The first of this heap of new music to come our way was his remix of “Nuclear” from Zomboy, a track that was received very well by fans. Also present on the studio itinerary was to finish a brand new moombahton EP. This announcement of a full moombahton EP came as good news to long-time Dillon fans and critics of his new pop-oriented sound exemplified in his debut LP Money Sucks, Friends Rule. Aside from new originals, the EP, which is set to be released in August, will also contain collaborations alongside Calvin Harris and Bro Safari.
After the collaboration with Bro Safari, which was part of both of the producers' Mysteryland USA sets, we have been presented with a preview of the collaboration alongside superstar Calvin Harris. The idea of this collaboration left many wondering how the sounds and styles of both Dillon Francis and Calvin Harris would mesh. As the video above shows, they mesh quite well, though the track does seem to contain more of Dillon's heavy moombahton style than Calvin's pop-friendly house sounds. Either way, it sounds like Dillon Francis' new EP is going to be something special. Stay tuned for more music to come from the EP soon.
